Refund & Dispute Policy
Last updated: February 21, 2026
This Refund & Dispute Policy explains how refunds and payment disputes are handled on the WellFedCats platform. All payments are processed through Stripe.
1. Supporter Subscriptions
Supporters fund Feeders through recurring subscriptions. Because these payments go directly to Feeders to support cat care, refund eligibility depends on the circumstances.
2. Eligible Refund Scenarios
You may be eligible for a refund if:
- Unauthorized charge: A payment was made without your authorization.
- Duplicate charge: You were charged more than once for the same subscription period.
- Technical error: A system error resulted in an incorrect charge amount.
- Fraudulent Feeder activity: The Feeder you supported was found to be acting fraudulently (e.g., fake feeding logs, misuse of funds).
3. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds are generally not available for:
- Completed subscription periods where the Feeder was active and logging feedings.
- Change of mind after a payment has been processed.
- Dissatisfaction with how a Feeder allocates funds (provided they are actively feeding cats).
If you no longer wish to fund a Feeder, you can cancel your subscription at any time. See our Cancellation Policy for details.
4. How to Request a Refund
- Email [email protected] with your account email, the transaction in question, and a description of the issue.
- We will review your request within 5 business days.
- If approved, refunds will be processed to your original payment method via Stripe. Please allow 5-10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement.
5. Dispute Resolution
If you have a dispute about a payment or a Feeder's activity, we encourage you to contact us first at [email protected]. We will investigate and work to resolve the issue fairly.
If you file a chargeback with your bank or card issuer, we will cooperate with the investigation and provide relevant transaction and activity records. Please note that filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in delays.
6. Feeder Fund Disputes
If a Feeder receives funds under fraudulent pretenses, we reserve the right to:
- Suspend the Feeder's account pending investigation.
- Withhold pending payouts.
- Reverse transactions where possible.
- Cooperate with law enforcement if necessary.
7. Timeframe for Refund Requests
Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of the transaction date. Requests submitted after this window will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis but are not guaranteed.
