Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the WellFedCats platform, operated by WellFedCats LLC ("we", "us", or "our"). By using WellFedCats, you agree to these Terms.

1. About the Platform

WellFedCats is a community platform that connects people who feed stray cats ("Feeders") with people who want to support that effort financially ("Supporters"). Feeders add the cats they care for, log feedings with photo and video proof, and earn money when Supporters request feedings. Supporters browse cats, request feedings, and receive push notifications with evidence when a feeding is completed.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use WellFedCats. By using the platform, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

3. User Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
• You may not create multiple accounts or share your account with others.
• Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

4. User Roles

Feeders

• Feeders add the stray cats they care for to the platform with photos, names, and location.
• Feeders log feedings honestly and accurately with photo and video proof.
• Feeders are responsible for the welfare of cats they interact with and should follow local regulations.
• Feeders earn money when they complete feeding requests from Supporters.

Supporters

• Supporters browse cats on the community map and request feedings for specific cats.
• When a Feeder completes a requested feeding, Supporters are charged via Stripe and receive a push notification with photo and video proof.
• Supporters can follow cats and feeders to stay updated on feeding activity.
• Subscriptions are subject to our Cancellation Policy and Refund & Dispute Policy.

5. Payments and Funding

• All payments are processed through Stripe. By making a payment, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.
• WellFedCats facilitates direct Supporter-to-Feeder funding. We may charge a platform service fee, which will be clearly disclosed before any transaction.
• Feeders are responsible for any tax obligations related to funds received.
• We are not responsible for how Feeders use the funds, though we expect them to be used for cat care.

6. Meow-stones, Badges, and Leaderboard

WellFedCats features an achievements system including Meow-stones, badges, and a community leaderboard. These are for recognition and engagement purposes only and hold no monetary value. We reserve the right to modify the achievements system at any time.

7. User Content

• You retain ownership of content you post (photos, feeding logs, cat profiles, etc.).
• By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and use that content within the platform and for promotional purposes.
• You are responsible for ensuring your content does not violate any laws or third-party rights.
• We may remove content that violates these Terms or that we find inappropriate.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Submit false or misleading feeding logs or cat profiles.
• Use the platform to harm, harass, or endanger animals or other users.
• Misuse the funding system (e.g., creating fake feeder accounts to collect money).
• Upload harmful, illegal, or offensive content.
• Attempt to manipulate the leaderboard or achievements system.
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the platform's operation.
• Use automated systems or bots to interact with the platform.

9. Animal Welfare Disclaimer

WellFedCats provides a platform for community cat care coordination. We are not a veterinary service, animal rescue organization, or shelter. We do not guarantee the health or safety of any cat listed on the platform. If you encounter a cat in distress, please contact your local animal control or veterinary services.

10. Limitation of Liability

WellFedCats is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, WellFedCats LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to loss of funds, data, or any harm to animals.

11. Account Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately. Any pending payouts to Feeders may be withheld pending investigation.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of WellFedCats after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in a court of competent jurisdiction.
